Case Study 2. Viafix: In the Wet

Repair to Pothole in running water. This was the second repair at the site due to the previous ‘approved’ material washing out. A repair was made to the busy carriageway in flowing water (1). The second picture (2) shows storm water blowing through the drain cover. Viafix was laid into the flowing water (3). Applying Viafix Open Porous (OPA) dealt with the pressure forcing the water up through the carriageway (4). The finished repair shows the vehicle-compacted material in the pothole with water still flowing around the cover (5).
