Thermoplastic Removal - Line Muncher

Viatec's Line Muncher addresses both EU rulings over noise from traditional hot compressed air lances and the inefficiency of many pedestrian operated scarifiers. Unique for a pedestrian operated machine, the Line Muncher uses a pick drum technology giving it the efficiency of bigger and more expensive equipment.

Powered by the world famous Honda engine the pick drums use a ‘tearing‘ rather than ‘hammering ‘ action which makes the Line Muncher virtually self propelled. This fact, combined with the unique shock absorbing quality of the handle bar reduces both vibration and noise (around 90 db(A) ) although we strongly recommend the use of ear defenders.

We also recommend the purchase of an additional pick mounted drum to ease replacement on site , the original drum can then be refitted with new picks at your convenience.
